MISSION STATEMENT​​

Young Men United of Jefferson County (YMU) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting and empowering young men—especially those who need us most—by fostering strong character, leadership development, and responsible citizenship. Through youth development programs, community-based services, mentoring, and educational support, YMU provides a safe and supportive environment filled with hope, opportunity, and positive relationships with caring adults.

 

YMU prepares young men to make ethical and informed choices by instilling core values, promoting education, encouraging positive self-expression, reducing conflict, and supporting personal growth. Our mission is to strengthen individuals, families, and the Jefferson County community by developing future leaders who contribute positively to society.
